PRIMARY ART

Our Year 1-6 students have finished their collaborative collaged wall mural inspired by the painting “Japanese Footbridge and the water lily pool”. Students learned about line, pattern, and texture and the life of Claude Monet who was a French Impressionist painter.

Year 5 and 6 students explored the techniques of “Op Art” and they made some mesmerising artworks. All art students have been learning about using Texture in their artworks this semester. Students made some interesting leafy characters, creative textured owls, and some textured tree drawings.

Primary school Art Club has resumed for this term and students with a special interest in Visual Art created and explored new art forms and media not covered in Art Class. Students did some amazing graphite sketches as well as chain paintings, a large artwork depicting Hope, and this week they started working on small sculptures for Book Week.
