YEAR 10 BrainBee NEUROSCIENCE

The Australian and New Zealand Brain Bee Challenge (ABBC & NZBBC) is a competition for Australian high school students in Years 10 to learn about the brain and its functions, learn about neuroscience research, find out about careers in neuroscience and to dispel misconceptions about neurological and mental illnesses. The event is hosted by the University Of Western Australia and the Australian Neuroscience Society.

Two of our Year 10 students, Adelie Soekinto and Olivia Clist, have successfully passed round one of the competitions after completing up to 30 hours of online neuroscience learning modules. These two students will proceed to round two of the competition which will be on campus at UWA and will involve neuroscience presentations, demonstrations, and a tour of the Anatomy Museum human brain collection.

Well done to Adelie and Olivia!
