IN THE CLASSROOM – 4B WITH MRS QUINTANA

Year 4B started this year with enthusiasm and a keenness for learning. We began with goal setting and discovering who we are among our classroom peers. We have done a lot of singing, asked thought provoking questions and students are finding their voices to express themselves both academically and socially. 4B is enjoying the Bible study sessions and have shown healthy participation. Our class motto is to ‘be kind, love one another and be gracious’ and the students in 4B have demonstrated this both inside and outside the classroom.

The swimming carnival was a highlight for us. The students loved the bus rides, enjoyed the interaction with their peers and found the various events fun. During the swimming carnival, it was great to see parents taking the initiative and supporting both the teachers and students despite hot weather. The experience allowed for a learning opportunity, with students producing some interesting recounts.

LIFECYCLE OF BEANS

LIFECYCLE OF BEANS

In Science, we have been investigating the lifecycle of plants. The students thought that the best way to carry this out was to plant their own seeds and observe their lifecycle. In the last week, the beans have started sprouting and students have responded well to their success.

4B is looking forward to their assembly item in term 2. We have chosen a song and have started practising both the words and actions.
