SCITECH

The holidays finished and it was back to business at the Science department as we took the Year Nine Science students to Scitech. Our students marveled at the Omni Theatre where they learnt our place in the universe and the relative sizes of objects in the night sky. Then we saw a demonstration of ‘Explosions and Maths’ which had all of us jumping with loud noises and explosions.

A break for lunch and then an activity with robotics in the CSIRO lab before some free time to explore the exhibits.

As always, there is a rush to make trains on time and our students were magnificent in keeping to schedule – or they were genuinely scared of being left in Perth. Still a great day and a lot of fun had by all – and hopefully some learning took place as well.

Thank you Mrs Barnabas and Mr Campbell.
