This month we are holding a day long hackathon for students in years 7-10 who are interested in applying technology solutions to their learning problems. We are combining with two other schools who will be competing for some very cool prizes, including Sphero Ollie robots. It is part of an AISWA grant we received to promote STEM (Science Technology Engineering Maths) in schools.
The benefit of a hackathon is it helps students actively investigate problems, identify solutions, and creatively apply those solutions using technology, which is and will be a key component of their lives now and in the future.
