OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD EXCURSION

On Friday 4th of November, some Year Nine students travelled on the bus to the Samaritan’s Purse warehouse in Balcatta. We were there to help organise and pack Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes which have been collected for kids in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. We didn’t expect it to be so much fun! When we arrived there were multiple jobs we had to do, such as sorting through packed shoeboxes to make sure they had nothing bad in them, taping the boxes up and putting them in bigger cardboard boxes that were going to be sent to Cambodia in a shipping container. It was a bit chaotic but really exciting and our time there flew! It was also great knowing that the box you were packing is going to a child who had never received a gift before. It was a great experience!
