Please join us in congratulating Sean Tubbs-Forsey, one of our Year 4 students, who had some outstanding Athletics results over the past weekend.

On Saturday, Sean competed in the West Australian State Finals against 16 of the fastest qualifying runners for his age group. He competed in the 800m and he came away with a gold medal, knocking 20 seconds off his personal best time, finishing in 2.29.46sec. He also ran in the 200m and he won his heat making it through to the finals, and came 4th in the state finals running 30.06sec.

On Sunday he competed in the 400m and he won his heat making it through to the state finals. He placed 3rd, receiving a bronze medal and also knocking 6 seconds off his personal best, running 1.05.18sec.  There was only 0.02sec between 1st and 3rd so it was an extremely close race!
