On Friday the 17th of March, South Coast Baptist College competed in the WACCSA Interschool Cricket Carnival at Ron Jose Oval in Middle Swan.

Throughout this term, we have held tryouts and are very fortunate to have many talented students to choose from. We selected a Year 6 boys and girls team.

Each team played exceptionally well throughout the day, both only losing one game each. Both the girls and boy’s teams made it into the Grand Final and in two very close games; with only a few runs in it, both ended up coming runners-up for the day. South Coast Baptist College finished 2nd out of 8 schools.

Overall the carnival was a huge success, and each team played some great cricket on the day and represented our College very well. I was very proud of all the students who participated, and they way that the conducted themselves. Thank you to all our parents and families who attended, and coached and umpired on the day.
