The Graduation Ceremony for the KIC EP-sponsored iWOMEN Project. Two Year 10 students represented the College in the iWOMEN Project: Tamika Taylor and Ellen Byl.
The group of 31 students visited a number of industries, including Cockburn Cement, Tronox, Fremantle Ports and Civmec (where they also did firefighting training and subsequently received a nationally endorsed Unit of Competency). Unexpectedly for the students, the management of Civmec decided to award a $200 gift voucher to the person who showed leadership and innovation on the day of training. This award was won by Tameeka Taylor.
The iMEN Project commences in Term Two and runs over six days – 2, 3, 10, 11, 15 & 16 May.
