The SCBC Debating Squad has had a very strong start to the Western Australian Debating League competition this year, with all five of our teams making it through to Round 4 without a loss to any other school. Our Senior team (Jannah Teo, Jake Norris and Shaylan Ryan-Sherriff) faced off against Frederick Irwin in Round 3 and received very encouraging feedback from the adjudicator, who praised not only the rhetorical skill of our debaters, but also their excellent sportsmanship. Round 4 will take place this coming Thursday the 15th of June at Foundation Christian College.

Jannah Teo has also been invited to participate in a demonstration debate at Challenge Stadium as part of Country Week, a competition involving schools from all over the State.
