WINNERS ARE GRINNERS

To finish off the year, the Year 7 Maths Stream One class was given the challenge to design and construct out of no more than 30 sheets of newspaper and Sellotape, a tower-like structure that would support a weight of 200 grams for at least 10 seconds.

Showing their usual competitive spirit, the class responded well to the task with a range of designs that reflected both imagination and scientific thought.

Chief Judge, Mrs Scott, awarded the chocolate prize to Rohan Horne and James Campbell for their innovative design of an Eiffel Tower-looking structure that easily withstood the stress test, and was the tallest structure that conformed to the specifications.   Well done lads!
