PRIMARY SWIMMING CARNIVAL

On Wednesday, 7th March 2018, 269 of our Year 3 to 6 students participated in our Primary House Carnival. The carnival’s tabloid format allowed for 100 events to take place between 9.45am and 2.50pm. These included 55 Open 100m Freestyle events, Year 4, 5 & 6 50m freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke events, and over 40 novelty events that took place both inside and outside the pool.

It was a great day for our students who enjoyed fine weather, the company of others and active involvement. Our teachers, Mr Stoffberg, Mrs Quintana, Mrs Ball and Mrs Beard (now dubbed the ‘awesome foursome’) blitzed all comers in the Parent/Teacher/ Student relay. It was a great day and so much fun! Thanks to the teachers, parents and Secondary students who made the day so successful!

In the end Joshua ran out clear champions winning the overall Champion Shield. They won all of the mixed year level 4x50m freestyle relays at the end of the day, breaking two relay records in the process. Some students performed exceptionally well individually breaking records and gaining maximum individual points on the day.

The final results from the carnival and the induvial year group champions, runners-up and third place results will be announced at the 3B Assembly on Friday, 16th March 2018, commencing at 8.50am.

We hope to once again perform well at the WACSSA Division 1 Swimming Carnival at HBF Stadium (Indoor Pools) on Friday, 23rd March 2018. This is a meet that we won in 2017. Squad lists for the Interschool Carnival have been placed up outside some of our Year 3 to 6 classrooms.
