Last Thursday a bunch of SCBC enthusiasts braved the wild weather to compete in the Australian Catholic Colleges (ACC) Cross Country Carnival. The event was held at Alderbury Reserve in Floreat with schools from all around Perth. Despite the rain, our team of 30 students had an incredible attitude and ran hard to complete either the girls 3km or the boys 4km course. Lachlan Collins and James Campbell from Year 8 were our highest place-getters, coming 19th & 21st respectively. This is a fantastic result given the hundreds of students running in the event – congratulations boys!
We ended the day by piling our soaking bodies into a friendly kebab shop and eating mountains of hot chips before making the journey back to school. It was a fun day and we are so proud of the students and the way they conducted themselves. Thanks to all the came along and helped make the carnival such a success. Bring on Cross Country 2019!!!
