These are some of the things that we have enjoyed doing this term in 4A…
SCIENCE
This term in 4A science we have been learning about materials and their elasticity, absorbency and fire retardancy.
One of our extremely fun activities was designing our own toy. We designed cool boats, planes and cars on paper. We learnt why certain materials were used in certain areas.
Another unforgettable experiment was testing fire retardancy by putting a fireman’s suit near FIRE! The chemical in the suit is called “Proban,” the chemical will self-extinguish itself when removed from the fire source.

MY CHINESE TEACHER
Our Chinese teacher’s name is Regina and she has been teaching us Mandarin. Regina lives in Beijing. We’ve learnt to count from one to twelve in Chinese and we can sing the happy birthday song. Regina has shown us Chinese food like dumplings, rice and noodles and taught us how to use chopsticks. Also, one lesson we watched a video that Chinese kids like, it is a funny panda song. We’ve learnt so much Chinese this year.

4A IS WORKING HARD FOR ENTREPRENEUR’S DAY
4A is preparing for a special event called Entrepreneur’s Day. This special event is when we make stuff and sell it to the Pre-Primaries all the way to the High School students to raise money for a charity. This year we have chosen to raise money for Compassion Australia.
We are all working very hard. We are meeting with our groups every Tuesday afternoon to work on our banners, posters and other stuff. We are striving to be amazing on Entrepreneur’s Day!
