IN THE CLASSROOM – YEAR 1A WITH MRS LE ROUX

On Saturday, 15th September 2018, the Year 1 classes took the opportunity to display our Food from Farm Inquiry Project on our college Open Day. Our project started off with a reading from the Bible: Genesis 1:26 and we talked about how God had given man a very important job to look after the world and everything in it. We asked the questions “Which animals give us food? and How can we look after them?” Students were truly connected with this project. They knew that the idea came from them and their innate interest in animals, birds, mollusks and insects. They now understand that they are real scientists, artists, writers, and teachers. By looking at their end products we can sense how proud students are of their work.
