SCBC STUDENTS FINALISTS IN THE AUSTRALIAN STEM GAME CHALLENGE

Last semester year 10 computing students designed and built games around the theme “Transformation”.  We entered them in the Australian STEM Game Challenge, a national competition supported by the Australian Council for Education Research and game industry companies.  In the Open Category (Yr. 10-12) all four of our teams got through to the second round of judging, and we had two teams as finalists.

This semester the teams are building miniature arcade machines and installing operating systems on Raspberry Pi computers to play their games.
