We are extremely proud of our Year 3 to 6 students who represented the College at the WACSSA Primary Schools Division 1 Interschool Athletics Competition on Thursday, 8th November. The event was held at the premiere athletics track in Perth at Mount Claremont. Our students competed at the highest level against the division one field from across the Perth metropolitan region. Events included 800m, 400m, 200m, 100m and Relays. Points were added to those gained from the Jumps and Throws events held at Gerry Archer Reserve in Belmont on Tuesday where our students were involved in Long Jump, Shot Put and Turbo Javelin.
Final Results from the 2018 Carnival were:
- Carey
- SCBC
- Dale
- Rehoboth
- Emmanuel CC
- Swan CC
- Thornlie CC
- Ellenbrook CC
- Hillside
Our students placed second on the day and were only 29 points behind Carey who took out 1st place. It is the highest place that we ever have achieved at this event. Well done to all of our primary students who were involved over the two days of the carnival!
A special mention should go to Sean Tubbs-Forsey, Harper Collinson and Pierce Tubbs-Forsey who all broke interschool records. Notable individual performances at this event included Sean Tubbs-Forsey (1st Place – Year 5 Boys), Haper Collinson (1st Place – Year 5 Girls) Finley Ryan (3rd Place – Year 4 Boys), Pierce Tubbs-Forsey (Equal 2nd – Year 3 Boys) Hannah Marchlewicz (3rd Place – Year 3 Girls)
We hope to continue our progress in 2019!
