Recently our student councillors and house captains learnt some valuable skills in leadership from speakers at the GRIP Conference in Perth. They spent the day learning that Generosity, Responsibility, Integrity and People impact on the effectiveness of our leadership. They came away excited at the prospect of what they potentially could achieve both in their personal growth as a leadership and in service to the College community. Below is a comment from one of our attendees on their experience:
This is what Cameron Watts one of our Secondary Student Councilor’s had to say: “On Tuesday, 26th March 2019, I had the brilliant privilege to go to the GRIP Leadership Conference. I had many opportunities to increase my knowledge of leadership and what it means to be a leader. It was a great experience and I would no doubt do it again. I learned that being a leader is not about what you do to help increase an understanding about yourself, it is to make your friends or teammates shine. I will remember this experience and take it with me forever.”
