PRE-PRIMARY 3 WITH MRS DE WET

On Tuesday, 30th July 2019, all our Pre-Primary classes went on an excursion to the Baldivis Children’s Forest. Students participated in three activities that are closely linked with our geography and design technology curriculum focus for Term 3. The activities included;

  • Aboriginal painting – Students learnt all about Aboriginal symbols, their meaning, and how to use these symbols when creating artwork.
  • A bush walk – Students enjoyed a walk through parts of the Baldivis Children’s Forest, learning all about the different plants, birds and Aboriginal tools.
  • cubby house building – In groups, students used trees, sticks, rope, fabric and more to design and build a cubby house in the bush!

It was a wonderful day full of fun exploring the forest and the perfect way to introduce our inquiry project ‘nature in our community’ this Semester.
