We are delighted to introduce to you our Defence School Mentor for 2020.

Supporting our Defence Force families is part of our wellbeing program at SCBC.

“My name is Nicola Campbell. I am the Defence School Mentor for South Coast Baptist College. I will be here to support our students that come from Defence Force families. I will endeavour to help oversee their wellbeing, help them integrate into the school community. I will also be here to build a friendly repour with students and families, discussing emotions that may occur when their parents or carers are away on deployment.”

My background with the defence force comes from my husband being in the Navy for more than 30 years. We have done two overseas postings to a tiny island in Micronesia and more recently to Fiji for 3 years each country. Our children have transitioned in and out of different Primary schools and had their dad deployed on a ship for lengthy times away. I feel that I can and will use this experience to be able to relate and support our Defence Force families at SCBC.”
