On Thursday, 27th May, 35 Secondary students travelled to Perry Lakes Reserve to participate in the ACC Interschool Cross-country carnival. Throughout the day, students competed against students from over 70 other private schools in Western Australia.
Students enjoyed the day with some great weather, the opportunity to meet new friends and represent the school out on the track.
A special mention to Drew C. who came in at 36th position overall for the day and 27th in his category of U/14 males.
Our house captains stepped up in their roles to warm up and encourage the students in lower years. The students represented the college extremely well, showing respect and kindness to everyone they interacted with throughout the day.
Some comments from students about the day include:
“It was pretty fun. The track was fun and I really enjoyed the food trucks”
“I really enjoyed meeting students from other schools and the track was really enjoyable”
“My favourite part was watching everyone encouraging each other over the finish line and seeing the positive attitudes about representing our school”
Thank you to Mr Andy Price and Mrs Lara Darch for coming along on the day to help organise and support the students and a special thank you to Mr Zach Cottrell for also coming along as well as all his hard work behind the scenes organising the day.
