ATELIER STUDIO

The Atelier Studio invites children to invent, create and explore through art. This term, we have been very busy. The babies have been working on sensory development/play and painting with their hands, and some of our older babies have been using brushes and easels. Our Pikanini’s (toddler children) have been banging on the drums and making up songs on the ukuleles as well as paint/shape stamping and constructing with recycled materials. Kodomo, (our pre-kindy children) have been constructing with hammers and nails and making some amazing collages with coloured paper. Koorlongka (our kindy children) have been constructing with hammer and nails also, using foam pieces from packaging to create some amazing things, as well as making and working with basic shadow puppets.

Our Minasan (before and after school care students) children have constructed a lion, taken a lot of interesting photographs, drawn lots of interesting things (mostly Pokemon, cute animals and each other’s portraits), built an aeroplane, created music with our studio computer and constructed a “sleep-over house” with card, fabric scraps and sticks.
