The Year 12 General Drama class had the privilege to attend an intensive workshop run by the Black Swan Theatre Company, in collaboration with the Blue Room Theatre in Perth.

This two-day workshop gave us the opportunity to work with, and learn from, industry professionals, including Zoe Aitkinson who was the scenographer and costume designer of “Things I Know To Be True”. The workshop culminated in the viewing of Andrew Bovell’s play “Things I Know To Be True” on the Saturday afternoon. 

The play impacted us as students and was such an amazing opportunity to witness professionals perform such an emotional and impactful piece, while also giving us the opportunity to witness the designs that Zoe had created in a professional production. The performance took place at the Heath Ledger Theatre, which was another exciting opportunity for us as students to see in person.
