YEAR 11

That went quick! We’ve blinked and Term 3 is almost done. Incredible.

Our Year 11’s have four weeks of school left before their exams and the end of Year 11. To celebrate that, we’ll go relax on Rottnest!

This term has been an emotional roller coaster as the pressures of senior school and the increase in responsibility that comes with young-adulthood has increased. I am so proud of the resilience shown and the support that the year group have offered each other.

This term, we have focused on ‘problem solving’ and ‘what is means to be a good friend’. We have looked at breaking down issues that we might face to gain a better understanding of what we can and can’t control as well as looking at how we can support our friends when they most need it.

As the stresses of life arise, I want students to always know about the love and support that God provides us with. This is emphasised in the following verse:

Ephesians 16-19;

16 I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. 17 Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. 18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

As our term wraps up, here are some important dates to be aware of. Exams will start in Week 3 of Term 4 (23rd -31st October) followed by our Rottnest camp from the 1st to 3rd of November. Students will then return to school for the beginning of Year 12 transition on Monday the 6th of November.

Exciting times to come!
