The coldest term of the year saw many happy faces and warm hearts open to new learning experiences and fun adventures.
Our Kodomo friends have had some exciting times this term and have had the opportunity to meet the Kindy teachers from the College. We have had some wonderful stories read to us by the friendly Kindy teachers. This has been a Friday highlight over the past few weeks.
We made some fun crafts and did some special activities for NAIDOC week, including painting boomerangs and painting the Aboriginal flag using our handprints.
We have had many fun times in the Nature play areas as well as the Wild Space, and our friends enjoy the change of scenery and exploring new environments.
We also celebrated Dental Health Week with some fun “teeth” activities and sorted artificial food that is either good or bad for our teeth; everyone enjoyed this.
Book Week was also a great hit on our calendar for this term, and the Kodomo Educators dressed up in exciting, different outfits each day. Friday, we saw a whole centre dress up with a Nursey Rhyme theme, and fun was had by the children and staff alike.
We look forward to another exciting term.
