What an exciting day it was on Friday of week 6! The Pre-Primary students enjoyed a visit from Constable Hiscox. He talked to us about what to do and who to go to for help in an emergency. Students recalled their “five safe people” with one being police officers, which they have been learning about in Health. They also learned how to dial 000 on a locked mobile phone, and that if police are needed, but not urgently, we should call 131 444. Some children even got to try on the police vest and the handcuffs. Once the rain had stopped, the children went outside and looked in the police van, saw the emergency lights and listened to the loud police siren!
