As our Year 12 students approach the final days of their school journey, stress and anticipation are at an all-time high. As I write this, our Year 12s are just two weeks away from finishing their final year.
At the end of Term 2 we ran our first Year 12 Retreat. This event offered a much-needed escape, giving students the chance to reflect, recharge, and refocus without compromising their studies. The retreat was designed to be purposeful, engaging, and productive, guiding students through activities that allowed them to look back on their achievements and forward to their futures beyond our school grounds. The girls spent their retreat at Seaside Camp, where the soothing ocean-atmosphere provided the perfect setting for reflection and connection. Meanwhile, the boys headed to Nanga Bush Camp, embracing the tranquillity of nature to unwind and build camaraderie. Both camps offered unique environments for students to take a break from their daily routines, participate in team-building exercises, and engage in personal development workshops. These activities helped students pause, set their sights on future goals, and return to their studies with renewed energy.
We are eagerly looking forward to celebrating their achievements at our Year 12 Day on Thursday, 19th September, which will be filled with fun and festivities. This will be followed by the Graduation Assembly and Ceremony on the 7th and 8th of October, marking the moment when our Year 12s officially say goodbye to SCBC.As we approach these significant milestones, we are proud of how far our Year 12s have come, and we look forward to celebrating their successes in the weeks ahead.
