The weather is getting warmer, and we have had some exciting times in Kodomo this term.
We had fun celebrating National Nutrition Week; our friends helped cut some fresh fruit and vegetables. They each had the opportunity to decorate their veggie face on a rice cake cracker.
We also celebrated Children’s Week this term. We had a Grandparent’s Day on Tuesday, 29 October, where we welcomed the grandparents into our room and had some fun activities for them to enjoy with their grandchild, including beading, playdough and a photo setup. The children were then taken outside to an area of much fun with a ball pit, farm animals, face painting balloon animals and more. It was a fantastic afternoon for everyone.
We have welcomed the season of Christmas into our room, and it looks like a Christmas wonderland. The children enjoyed some fun Christmas crafts and decorating the Christmas tree. Beautiful Christmas music was played during the days, and the songs resonated in the children’s hearts.
It’s been a wonderful final term in Kodomo.
