On March 7th, Year 11 students will had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Greek Theatre, thanks to an exciting incursion run by the Black Swan Theatre Company. Through interactive workshops and engaging discussions, students gained insights into the dramatic techniques and themes that define this ancient art form.
The highlight of the incursion was a special focus on “Medea,” one of the most powerful and enduring tragedies written by Euripides. Students focused on the modern reinterpretation of this classic, and had fun working on the accent skills too!
Black Swan Theatre Company, renowned for its high-quality productions and educational programs, is committed to fostering a love for theatre among young audiences. This incursion is a testament to their dedication to enriching the educational experience through the arts. We look forward to seeing our Year 11 students engage with this enriching experience and witness the powerful performance of “Medea” on May 21st.
