Careers

Our Secondary students have recently taken part in a range of career taster activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore potential career paths and gain hands-on experience in various trades and professions.

Year 11 Health Futures Day

In March, our Year 11 students attended the Health Futures Day at Murdoch University. This engaging event aims to inspire students to explore a variety of healthcare disciplines, including Exercise Physiology, Chiropractic, Sport & Exercise Science, Nutrition, and Nursing.

Our students thoroughly enjoyed the experience — from hands-on activities to exploring the university’s state-of-the-art facilities (and even making time for a visit to the Food Court!).

Year 9 Try-a-Trade: Brick and Block

Year 9 students participated in the Try-a-Trade: Brick and Block program, spending two days developing practical skills in carpentry and bricklaying. It was a valuable chance to experience what working in the trades might be like.

Years 9 & 10: Nursing
Students from Years 9 and 10 visited the Health Science Hub, and Murdoch University. They explored the impressive nursing school facilities and had the chance to practise clinical skills using medical dummies — and even on each other!

Year 10: Fashion Design
Year 10 students also explored the exciting world of fashion design in a creative, hands-on session. From sketching their own designs to crafting stylish shop window displays, their innovation and attention to detail were on full display.
