This term, our Year 6 students embarked on an exciting research project exploring the diverse cultures and landscapes of Asia, while also examining the connections between Australia and its neighbouring countries. Each student selected an Asian country to research, diving into its geography, traditions, food, language, and famous landmarks. The classroom came alive with creativity as students presented their findings through colourful posters, food tastings, digital slideshows, and stunning landscape creations—from a cherry blossom tree to a model of a famous Japanese waterfall.
These thoughtful presentations helped students appreciate not only the uniqueness of each country but also the importance of global relationships in our interconnected world. By highlighting trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Australia and Asia, students gained a deeper understanding of how nations collaborate and learn from one another.
