Make Holiday Planning Fun – Involve the Whole Family!
As the school holidays approach, why not turn the planning process into part of the adventure? Involving your children in your holiday preparations doesn’t just build excitement—it also helps create meaningful memories before you even leave home!
Build the Excitement Before You Go
Encourage your children to explore your destination beforehand—whether by looking at photos, reading books, or discovering fun facts online. Sharing stories about the location. If travelling overseas, learning a few words in another language can also make the experience more engaging for the whole family.
Give Everyone a Voice
Children feel empowered when they have a say. Older children can help plan a day or choose an activity, while younger children may enjoy choosing between two options you present. This simple inclusion helps the whole family feel invested in the trip.
Settle Nerves by Talking it Through
Some children may feel anxious about changes to routine. Discussing travel plans, accommodation, and daily activities can ease their minds and help turn uncertainty into excitement over the holiday period.
By planning together, you’re not only organising a holiday—you’re building special family memories from the very first step.
