As part of this year’s Children’s Book Week celebrations, our Years 3 and 4 students were treated to a special incursion by Perform Education. The engaging production took students on an exciting Treasure Hunt where books, characters and storytelling came to life in a fun and engaging afternoon. The performance celebrated the joy of reading and highlighted the importance of imagination, teamwork and discovery. Our students laughed, cheered and joined in the adventure, while also gaining a deeper appreciation for this year’s Children’s Book Council of Australia ‘s (CBCA) shortlisted books.
We are excited to keep the spirit of reading alive with our Book Fair in Week 2, Term 4 (22 – 24 October) in the school library. With Grandparents Day on Sunday, 26 October, it is a great opportunity to bring your grandparents along after school (3.10pm to 4pm) and share the love of stories across generations.
