STUDIO/ATELIER

Term four in the Studio has been a wonderful wrap-up to the year, with all our little people proving, as they always do, that they’ve grown in confidence and developed some great creative skills over the year. Term four has also seen the addition of some new tools such as our Chomp Saw,(a kid safe jig saw for use with cardboard), our Blipbox sampler sequencer for making all kinds of crazy music and a hand held recorder for audio recording, (used by our Koorlongka kids to record each other, sounds around the room and a lot of recordings of themselves saying silly, funny things).

We also made and decorated some hand puppets, painted on different textured materials, did a ton of drumming on some drum pads and our drum kit, and experimented with making bubble dough, (dish soap and cornflour, easy to make if you want to have a try at home, 1 cup of corn starch to ¼ cup of soap and some food colouring) in addition to the usual work with digital drawing software, keyboards for role-playing typing, our scanner, computers, and ukulele practice.
