“Maintaining the Heart”
As we step into 2026, we warmly welcome all our families both new and returning to another wonderful year at South Coast Baptist Childcare. This year, our theme “Maintaining the Heart” reflects our deep commitment to nurturing what matters most: relationships, care, and the wellbeing of every child entrusted to us.
This year also marks a significant milestone as we celebrate 20 years of serving our community. We are incredibly grateful to share that we have cared for over 2,985 children through our childcare program. This number does not include the hundreds of playgroup children and workplace students from colleges, TAFEs, universities, and other educational institutions who have also journeyed through our service. What a privilege it has been to play a role in so many lives providing education, care, and sharing the love of Jesus within our community.
We remain deeply committed to delivering a high level of care grounded in strong relationships, quality practice, and continuous improvement.

Our service operates within the National Quality Framework, which sets the national benchmark for education and care across Australia. This includes the National Law, National Regulations, and the National Quality Standard. These frameworks guide not only our compliance, but our unwavering commitment to excellence and best practice.
Our team has been working diligently to ensure we remain fully compliant and responsive to all aspects of child safety and protection. Every decision we make is guided by the principle that child safety is a paramount consideration. This commitment is not only reflected in our training but is embedded in our daily practices through active and respectful supervision, ongoing risk assessments, and clear reporting processes.
We are proud to say that we have been proactive and accountable well before the recent updates to national regulatory requirements. Families can now easily access the Regulations, National Law, and Framework via the QR code located in our childcare foyer.
We have had a vibrant and joyful start to the year farewelling children as they transition into their schooling years and warmly welcoming many new families into our community.
One of our most cherished events, the Harmony Day Family Picnic, was once again a beautiful highlight. It is always so special to see our community come together to celebrate culture, connection, and belonging. These moments strengthen the relationships that are so vital as we journey alongside you in your child’s education and care.
At South Coast Baptist Childcare, we truly believe that education and care is a partnership with families. We value collaboration, community, and the opportunity to continually grow and improve together.
