Minasan (OSHC) Term 1

The beginning of the year has been a fun and exciting time for us, with lots of changes having happened over the new year. The first week of our holiday program was enjoyable and inclusive, with the children getting a say in organising the room and helping decide where they feel everything should go and what they want for the new room. The week was followed by other exciting activities, such as cooking, games, and excursions to both Timezone and Rebound. Moving to the new room gave the children more space, both in the room and outside, for the holidays. We had easier access to the nature play and oval, and we were able to create space for more activities inside.

The beginning of the term has been a great learning experience overall. Our older children took it all in their stride, and the younger children got used to it soon enough. They have been enjoying the extra space this room offers and have designated spots for various activities, like handball, construction, and crafts. We have had an absolute ball settling into our new room and routine, and we look forward to being able to continue next term.

Some of our children were also lucky enough to be booked in during our centre’s Harmony Week Family Picnic on the 17th of March. They got to have fun joining activities that were booked, like face painting and the petting zoo, and enjoying the multicultural food available. The picnic was a great way to learn more about different cultures and the world’s diversity, and we were blessed to take part.

We hope everyone has had just as good a term as us, and we are all geared up and ready for the upcoming Vacation Care program, which is filled with many exciting, themed days.
