It has been a wonderful time in our room, and we have enjoyed watching the children explore, discover, and build new relationships each day. We would love to share some of the special experiences and learning that have been happening in our room.
Learning and Development
Through our everyday experiences, the children are developing important skills such as reaching, grasping, crawling, walking, communicating, and interacting with others.
We have been encouraging the children to make choices during play and providing opportunities for them to build confidence and independence. Simple experiences such as looking at books with soft covers and hard covers, exploring feeler books that demonstrate different texture, singing nursery rhymes, and participating in sensory play support children’s language, social, cognitive, and physical development.
Kiddo is also embedded in our program. To build children’s confidence, coordination, movements, and balance, climbing resources are set up to encourage climbing up, down, and over obstacles, allowing them to move their body in different ways.
Relationships and Connections
Building secure and trusting relationships is an important part of our Babies Room. Our educators continue to respond to each child’s individual cues, interests, and needs, creating a safe and nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
It has been lovely to see the children becoming increasingly comfortable with their educators and developing connections with their peers.
