VOCAL ACADEMY

Term One Highlights for the Vocal Academy!

Term one has been massive for the Vocal Academy! We kicked off the year by partnering with the local community events group, Rockingham Sunset Markets, to be the exclusive music provider at their vibrant monthly events on the Foreshore. This incredible opportunity allowed our students to shine, building and sustaining three sets of music over the course of an evening. The February market featured Year 11 student Mia Young, March with Year 12 students Ryder Meyerink and Nate Slater, and April’s Easter Market will be amazing with Year 11 student Charli-Rose Rodwell and Year 12 student Joelina Dahdal. You can find them at Bell Park in Rockingham from 5pm – 8pm on Saturday 12th of April!

Our Year 12 Vocal Academy and Cert III Music students have been working hard this term, gearing up for their headline concert at Rockingham Foreshore on Friday, March 28th. The turnout was nothing short of spectacular, with crowds of staff, students, and local community members cheering on our students as they delivered hit after hit.

On Saturday, March 29th, our Year 9/10 Vocal Group students took the massive stage at the Catalpa Sunset Concert, delivering solo and group performances that left the huge crowd in awe of their talent. I am incredibly proud of how far our students have pushed themselves this term, tackling multiple events, mastering new instruments, and always rising to the challenge.

Term two promises to be just as thrilling as we gear up for our annual Riptide Concert at Koorliny Arts Centre on May 24th. A huge thank you to everyone who supports our amazing students as they step outside their comfort zones and share their passions with our community.
