This term in the studio has been busy and productive, we’ve taken apart and investigated the insides of an old keyboard, been learning 3D sculpting, making lots of drawings, paintings and collages, investigating things close up with a microscope, drawing with clay, building robots, drumming and strumming ukuleles and playing the keys, we built a cardboard cubby that was used as a bus, a school and a home. We’ve made prints with chalk, oil and water, mixed up bubbly bi-carb and vinegar paints, created with paper Mache and made heart-shaped sculptures with coloured rice. We’ve also been continuing our work from last year with our Makedo tools, constructing with cardboard and donated CD’s, experimented a little with water colour pencils, made spiders and snails with plasticine and generally had a lot of fun and laughs.
