YEAR 11 & 12 STUDENTS ENHANCE ARTISTIC SKILLS IN PORTRAIT DRAWING WORKSHOP

On the 24th of February, Year 11 and 12 General and ATAR students participated in an immersive portrait drawing workshop. This workshop provided a unique opportunity for students to refine their skills and deepen their understanding of portraiture.
Throughout the session, students engaged in hands-on activities focusing on the fundamentals of capturing human likenesses, including proportion, shading, and expression. By observing and practicing various techniques, they gained a deeper understanding of the skills required to create realistic and expressive portraits.
The incursion was designed to enhance students’ artistic abilities and boost their confidence in drawing. By the end of the workshop, each student had completed a portrait drawing and gained valuable insights into the creative process. The skills obtained during this workshop will assist students in the development of their large-scale project pieces.
