The start to 2026 has been a wonderful time of growth in the Bambini room. Our numbers have increased dramatically over the past few weeks, and we have welcomed many new faces (some new families and some existing or returning families to our centre). Our sweet little people are also forever growing and learning new things. It’s always such a privilege to see the milestones reached and the individual growth of each little person in our care. Some are learning to walk, some are learning to crawl, others are saying new words and expanding their vocabulary, others are learning to feed themselves or try new foods, some are learning to be social and share with others, and some are discovering that paint can be fun instead of strange.
Each child is unique, and no two are alike. We have the honour of caring for each one and growing with them as we expand on their learning each day and help them discover new things in the world around them.
We have enjoyed a “beach theme” this term as we explored sea creatures and participated in a few fun activities for Sea Week, which we celebrated at the beginning of March.
We have done various types of painting and explored edible playdough (which was mostly enjoyed as a meal by our little people), but it was a sensory experience, nonetheless. We have also enjoyed some exciting visits from Mr Marwick in our centre’s art studio. Mr Marwick always brings some artistic fun to the Bambini room on a weekly basis, and our little friends always enjoy exploring and discovering with the interesting equipment that he brings into the room.
It’s been a busy term of “new” for all in the room, but it’s been fun getting to know each other as educators, parents and friends as we’ve been learning and growing together!
