Our Secondary Principal Mr Oates was out early this week, giving his skateboard a workout at his local skate park. In addition to being very clever in both Chemistry and Physics, Mr Oates is a very capable surfer, and was enjoying recreational down-time before work.

Unlike water, concrete is not very forgiving. He fell while boarding, snapping the fibula in his left ankle. The pain of a broken ankle is well known amongst secondary staff. There is no shortage of empathy! Miss Phoebe and Mr Posthuma have both had recent ankle breaks.
