This term for Science, we have been delving deeper into our understanding or living and non-living things by learning about seasons and how the weather impacts living things. Students have explored the temperature changes and how this influences clothing and animals’ reactions to seasons; such as gathering food in Autumn, hibernation or migration in Winter, reproducing in Spring and growing in Summer. Students have also researched and observed the changes that occur to plants and trees. Students displayed their knowledge by painting our doorway to represent the 4 seasons, creating their favourite season tree out of clay and beads, as well as many other ways. Being inspired by Reggio has helped students demonstrate their knowledge using their 100 language, whether it be art, discussions, creation etc. This lets their unique talents and gifts from God flourish and inspire their learning. It has been a wonderful term in Pre-Primary 2.
