This year in AIT Year 10 we are excited to be providing a new programme in Semester 1. We are working with a company called Just Start IT, along with 24 other schools in Western Australia.

Just Start IT gives high school students the opportunity to work in a real life environment with experienced mentors who can help them take an idea from concept to product and create a viable technology powered startup. Groups will pitch technology startup ideas, with the most successful presenting to a business panel at Curtin University. Each week our industry mentor comes in to coach and support small teams with their tech startup.

Even though it is only in its second year, the programme already has investors such as IBM involved. They are currently putting together a $2,000,000 seed fund to progress students’ best ideas to market.
