Dear Parents,
I hope you are enjoying a great start to the new term. We are loving the familiar sound of children playing, laughter between friends, and seeing the instinctive curiosity of our young people engaging within lessons.
During the school holidays, I made time to visit numerous school communities in the United States, specifically looking for great examples of innovative enterprise and optimal student engagement. We are preparing SCBC students to be faith-full global citizens, who will actively add value to their communities.
In the context of innovation, this is the beginning of a new digital format for our Newsletter. I hope you like it in the knowledge that we are always looking for opportunities to enhance your connectivity and communications with us.
This week I shared with students the scripture: ‘For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline’ (2 Timothy 1:7).
During the next few Newsletters, I will be sharing with you insights. For now, I’ll share the mission of a Christian community that I visited in New Mexico called Chimayo. They describe themselves as a place ‘where the childhood and passion of Jesus become one.’
Looking forward to our journey ahead,
