On Friday the 10th of June our Year 6 Football Academy students travelled to Ashfield Reserve in Guilford to compete against a range of other schools in football matches. The day was inclement, though the quality of football from our players under the guidance of Academy coach Chris Thackray was of a high standard. Each player maintained high personal standards and played their roles well across the day. The boys played 5 games across the day, and won each qualifying round convincingly. The final was a tie at the end of general play with one goal each after Thornlie scored an early goal. In the five minutes of overtime our team controlled play and ended up winning the pennant, undefeated for the day. Below are the final results and some images from the day.WACSSA photo
