On the 21st of June, Mr Trimble and Ms McGavock escorted our Year 11 ATAR English students to Mandurah, for a Bell Shakespeare Company performance of Romeo and Juliet. This was a tremendous performance, delivered by just four very skilled actors, each playing multiple characters. Delivering an abridged version of the play, The Bell Shakespeare Company demonstrated to students how engaging and stimulating Shakespeare’s plays remain today.
Students studied Romeo and Juliet last year and will engage with more Shakespearean texts in Units 3 and 4 of the ATAR English course.
