IN THE CLASSROOM – YEAR 3A WITH MR McLEOD

Welcome back everyone in the SCBC community to what is an action-packed term two. After reflecting over the holidays on how great term one was for class 3A, it is hard to choose some highlights that we would like to share.

Throughout term one, 3A learnt all about the wonderful animals that God created and how each one is created unique. Students learnt how to classify different animals according to their observable features and group them as scientist do in classes of mammals, reptiles, birds, amphibians, fish, insects, arachnids, annelids, molluscs, and crustaceans.

After searching for our bus, the class was lucky enough to spend a day at Perth Zoo to put everything we had learnt into practice. Students were given a booklet to complete in which they had to research and draw animals from different animals groups around the zoo. Although the class worked very hard, in true 3A style we managed to pack a whole zoo load of fun in to the day. Thank you to all the parent helpers we had on the day, it was a true blessing to have you with us.
