On Tuesday, 20th March 2018, 13 Primary School Student Leaders attended the GRIP Leadership Conference at the Perth Convention Centre. This event was sold out and attended by over 2000 Primary School students from across Western Australia.
At the Conference, the Primary School Prefects and House Captains learnt about transformational leadership. This involves student leaders developing an attitude that positively impacts others. The students reflected on qualities including building trust, encouraging others, doing the right thing, responding to needs and overcoming criticism as a leader. They were also challenged to practically consider ideas and opportunities that could effectively and easily transform a school community and setting.
