Our Primary House Swimming Carnival was held on Wednesday, 7th March 2018. It was a fantastic day of swimming, participation and encouragement. The weather was also perfect for our Year 3 to 6 students as they enjoyed all that the day had in store for them. Congratulations to the House of Joshua, our overall Primary School Swimming Champion House for the second year running!
Below is a list of all of our individual year group champions, runners up and third place recipients. Some of our students achieved maximum points by winning every event that they entered.
We also had several records broken on the day. Congratulations to:
• Jessica Tyrrell on breaking the Year 4 & under 50m Breaststroke record (54.45).
• Macy Johnston in Year 5 broke all three of the 50m records for her year group, an outstanding effort (Freestyle – 37.72; Breaststroke – 48.39; Backstroke – 44.95).
• May Wittstrom Lea broke the Year 6 Girls 50m Backstroke record (46.94).
• The House of Joshua also broke the Year 4 and Year 6 4x50m Freestyle relay records (Year 4 – 3.34.01; Year 6 – 2.47.24).
Well done to everyone who participated on the day.
We look forward to seeing some great Swimming at the WACSSA Interschool Division 1 Swimming Carnival at HBF Stadium indoor pool in Mount Claremont, next Friday, 23rd March 2018.
